Greetings to University of Iceland on its Centennial Anniversary

The University of Iceland turns 100 years old this year. To mark this very special occasion the centennial anniversary committee reached out to the alumni, and asked for taped greetings on the schools Centennial Anniversary. Here you can watch the greetings.

My full name is Bobby Chen (or Bobby Simonsson), Im Australian and I spent 6 months in 2011 at the University of Iceland on exchange. I was involved in Háskóladansinn and, of course, Sundruðningur!

Harald Schaller, doktorsnemi í Líf- og umhverfisvísindadeild Háskóla Íslands frá Þýskalandi, flytur kveðju frá Hokkaido-háskóla í Japan þar sem hann hyggst gera vettvangsrannsóknir í tengslum við doktorsverkefni sitt. Verkefni Haralds snýr að varðveislu náttúrulegs umhverfis á ferðamannastöðum og er hluti af rannsóknasamstarfi milli Háskóla Íslands og Hokkaido-háskóla.

Balthasar is from Germany, and is now studying in Harvard University. He is a former student of the University of Iceland.

I went to the university of Iceland for first semester of my graduation. I was quite interested by Iceland, but i learned a lot more: friendship, people from Iceland, technics, culture, language and so on.

I did my master at the university of Iceland in Hagnyt menningarmidlun in icelandic. I finished in june 2009. I moved to Oslo after finishing and has worked as general manager of a gallery and I am now at a artmuseum.My son was born this spring.

My connection with HI is that I studied philosophy there on Erasmus in the Autumn semester of 2010. The recording was taped in Nethy Bridge, Scotland. I'm just travelling there at the moment, I did my BA at the University of Sussex, in Brighton.
